My Speech

For the past few weeks we have been writing speeches or writing poems and memorizing them. I did my speech on white tigers and they are amazing animals. Here is my speech.
Intro:
Imagine have a giant ball of fluff to hug, Well if that's what you want  this is probably not the choice for you. I chose white tigers because I wanted to do something unusual. I also like big cats. White tigers interest me because there pattern is unusual and they are a very rare form of tiger.

Body:1
The white Bengal tigers stand out because of the color of their fur.
The orange fur in Bengal tigers comes from something called pheomelanin, white tiger’s do not have much pheomelanin pigments in there skin. That is why they are white.

Body:2
The length of a fully grown adult is up to 3 meters and can weigh about 200-230 kilograms. White Bengal tigers finish growing when they are 2-3 years old.As with all tigers, the white Bengal tiger’s stripes are like fingerprints, with no two tigers having the same pattern. The stripes of the tiger are a pigmentation of the skin; if an individual were to be shaved, its distinctive coat pattern would still be visible

Body:3
White bengal tiger’s normally  grow faster and heavier than normal tigers.
They also tend to be bigger at birth, and as fully grown adults. White tiger births are extremely rare because both parents need to have the unusual white gene, which only happens naturally one every 10,000 births

Body: 4
There is a myth that white tigers have an 80% infant mortality rate. However, the infant mortality rate for white tigers is no higher than it is for normal orange tigers bred in captivity. The white tiger is a hybrid mutant version of the tiger. If a pure white Siberian tiger were to be born, it would therefore not be selectively bred within the tiger conservation programs. Due to the popularity of white tigers, they are used to attract visitors to zoos. White tigers are found are commonly found in zoos in China.

Conclusion:
In conclusion white tigers are amazing animals that we need to keep around. I hope you enjoyed my speech goodbye.

That was my speech.
